The China Academy of Building Research (CABR) operates a prominent boundary layer wind tunnel facility heavily utilized for testing supertall structures, complex spatial shells, and high-rise clusters.

      The Fire Testing Center operated by the China Academy of Building Research (CABR)—under the umbrella of the National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Building Engineering—is China's premier authority for evaluating how structural assemblies react to and resist fire.

    The center's technical specifications and testing protocols are strictly dictated by the GB 9978series (Fire-resistance tests - Elements of building construction), which heavily aligns with international standards like ISO 834, EN 1363, and ASTM E119.

    Primary Testing Infrastructure & Dimensions:

    Vertical (Wall) Test Furnace: Specimen Aperture Size 3m x 3m to 4m x 4m.

    Horizontal (Floor/Roof) Test Furnace: Span Capabilities 4m x 6m.
